Christmas party 2011

We had a christmas party at our school on Dec 15th.
Every student was given each role like a receptionist,a host,a performance leader and a waiter.
Their friends and Japanese university students were coming and they were excited practising their program, giving ideas about snacks and serving drinks as a bartender.
We had a great time!

Our students played 'Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer'with water-filled glasses.
They were singing while plyaying it in rehearsal, but too nervous to sing in the
performance.

The prizes were rice 5kg and 1kg.
It is very practical and nothing like Chritmas but they seemed happy to have it.
Thank you very much for your cooporation to the contrst.
We,teathers also entertained the guests by dancing Heavy rotation'by AKB48 and 'GEE' by Girls generation. We secretly practised it after class.
The performance was better than any rehearsals.
Teachers are used to doing something in public,I guess.
The audience was very excited about men dancing like girls!

There are some people coming in front of the video to take pictures and video.
I'll ask students to get the video and upload it.
I hope you can feel the excitement by the sound.
Actually teachers were the ones who enjoyed it the most.

We sang 'Jingle bell world ver.' in the end of the party.
Lyric was given to everyone and we sang together in the languages of our students.

Photo contest 2011 fall

Photo

It's getting colder day by day.
It seems to skip autumn and go straight to winter.
It was like summer a little while ago, but now it's chilly and can't go out without a coat.
I can't believe that I was saying 'It's too hot!!!!' till a few months ago.
I guess I'll be saying that I can't believe I was saying ' It's too cold!!!' when summer comes.
I love Japanese 4 seasons.

We had an autumn photo contest on 15th Nov.
We walked around 'Jingu Gaien' to find something to shoot.
PhotoPhotoPhoto

It's cold AFTER 15th, but it wasn't that cold then and the leaves weren't really yellow.
Photo

Still, our students were trying to find something autumn-like......
Photo   Photo seriously:-D

It's interesting to look one to the other. Everyone has each way to take photos with different angle and
view point.
Ginkoes weren't yellowish enough, so it didn't look the same with the scene which appears in dramas often.

But they seemed to relax going out and talking to others and reflesh before JLPT.
Photo  I wrote SHJ with leaves.

We've gotta concentrate on the test from now!!
We have a trial examination on monday.
I hope the students can get enough scores to pass the level they're going to take.
Oh, and I will put up the photos in the contest later.
Some of them can't deside which one to place on display...

JLS Student's Festival 2011

There was a festival for students of Japanese language schools this month.
3,500 people came to Ikebukuro to join the event!
 PhotoPhotoPhoto

The place was bigger than last year, but still it was hard to squeeze my way through the crowd.
I heard that less students want to come to Japan to study after the earthquake, but it didn't seem so.
Photo Our students appeared on the Kimono show!!

Ujjwal san and Ingul san:-D They both looked great!!!

PhotoPhoto Eunhyun san looked beautiful.
It was a 'SHOW' ,so they walked on a runway and stroke a pose.

I didn't know Sou san was such good at Origami.

They are all clever with their hands:-)

They also tried Shamisen and Koto.

Nam san and Sou san have a good musical sense!

He's interested in studying in English at university in Japan.

He also went to ask several other universities and vocational schools about Infant education, design and
so on.
I hope our students could be a little clear about their future and had a lot of fun there!

A party with Japanese university students

Photo

We had the monthly event the other day.
It was the last activity in this term.
I'm sorry for taking time to update the blog every time.
The event was awesome.
I myself really enjoyed it,though it's meant to entertain students, not teachers.
Teachers need to have fun, too!! I mean, to enjoy it with students.Don't you think so:-D?
There were some Japanese students introduced by a vocational school,Japan electronics college http://www.jec.ac.jp/ and others were people who directly contacted us to join  the party.
PhotoPhoto

I don't have a chance to talk to Japanese university students nowadays,
so I got a little nervous to have a chat with them.
During the party, we introduced ourselves first.
We did it in a unique way to make it fun.
The students wrote down three things about themselves and we put the paper on a whiteboard
to ask them who wrote which one.

It was so easy to find our students' ones, but Japanese students made it very difficult and fun.
'I'm D.J.' ' I'm working for a convenient store called Seven-Eleven.'
'I'm muscular.' 'I was hungover yesterday.'I'm a pretty university student.'
I couldn't stop laughing.

After introducing ourselves, we had games.
The gesture game was the funniest!
Photo  Marcel-san and Yuta-san were the best partners!

Photo It may be just a game, but it's still important!!!

PhotoWinners!!!!

Shoji-san,Bogyeong-san,Ujjwal-san,Maiko-san,Sawako-san and Hi-san,congraturations!
Thank you for coming!
Our students have never talked such a lot with Japanese university students.
They seemed to have a lot of fun.
It was also good for them to keep talking in Japanese with someone apart from teachers.
I hope that we can have this kind of party regularly.
